Work-life balance: Juggling family life and entrepreneurship

Event language: German

New perspectives for parents, couples and entrepreneurs: Are you looking for ways to balance family life and entrepreneurship on your own terms? Do you want to know what self-employment and parenthood are really like in everyday life – beyond the idealised images? Or do you want to find out what options you have as an employer?

This event brings together different perspectives and highlights the opportunities, challenges and scope for action that arise when family and entrepreneurship are considered together.

The event kicks off with a keynote speech by Geraldine Schüle.

The influencer and Spiegel bestselling author is renovating a farm with her family and, every day, gives her half a million followers a glimpse into a life that blends self-sufficiency, modernity and rustic everyday life. Without central heating, using wood they’ve chopped themselves, with their own food supplies and a business she has consistently built around her values. She shows how to balance family, children and professional ambitions  — and why this very combination can be a driving force for entrepreneurial thinking.

Work-life balance: Juggling family and entrepreneurship – a discussion

The topic will then be explored in greater depth during a moderated panel discussion. Together with Dr Andreas Büchler from Ionysis, Geraldine will discuss:

  • what different lifestyle and working models might look like in practice
  • what challenges arise in everyday life and how they can be overcome
  • what strategies can help to sustainably balance family life and entrepreneurship

The discussion will be moderated by Stefanie Ellen Zimmermann, who will also share her own experiences. She will then lead into the evening’s open Q&A session.

The event is aimed at anyone who wishes to balance family life with self-employment.

As well as offering personal insights, it provides an opportunity for discussion, new perspectives and practical ideas to help you chart your own course.

Registration is required. Attendance is free of charge.
