Do you have an exciting business idea? This lecture takes a practical approach to exploring the various aspects of starting your own business, from the initial idea to bringing it to market. Students considering self-employment will find the specialist knowledge they need to adopt the best approach and bring their ideas to fruition.
Experts with practical business experience provide practical guidance on setting up a business: how do you get from the initial idea to the finished product? How can customer segments be defined and structured? What needs to be considered in terms of sales and positioning? What does professional storytelling look like? What do I need to bear in mind when it comes to financial planning? Which legal structure is suitable for my business model?
In addition to these ‘hard facts’, the course also covers important personality-related topics that are key to success, such as leadership and team building.
In parallel with the lecture series, participants work on a specific business model (either individually or in teams), thereby applying the knowledge they have acquired in a practical way.
The business idea is set out in writing in an 8-page business plan and presented in an oral pitch on the final day of the seminar.
Some sessions in the lecture series are also open to the public. You can find the dates under ‘Events’. Free registration is required.
